OUR PEOPLE

SPHERE is a collective of experts from Performance Arts, Visual Arts and Film. We bring a combined experience of over 20 years of working in the field of arts and education from across various institutions in the country.

Our team of facilitators, apart from being practicing artists, also have a nuanced sense of working with young learners. Our work is contemporary and we actively train ourselves to bring the best from the dynamic work of arts and education from around the world to classrooms in India.

Shruti Sridharan is a performer and an Applied Theatre practitioner with a Masters Degree in Theatre Arts from Mumbai University. An actor by craft, Shruti specialises in the use of drama in learning and development.

Trupti - team

Trupti is currently working in the curriculum design space as an English Subject Matter Expert. She has an M.A. in Education from Azim Premji university, with a special focus on Literacy Pedagogy and Children’s Literature.

As a professional in the field of education, Saesha worked as a Fellow and a Program Manager with Teach For India (from 2012-2017) in under-resourced schools in Mumbai.

Max is a Theatre practitioner with a background in Business Development. He has worked in the corporate sector for over 15 years while also pursuing his love for performance through theatre and film.

Rohini is a multi talented performer who took to the stage early in life along with her father who is a professional musician. She is trained in Carnatic and Western vocals and Bharatnatyam.

Dipna - Collaborators

DIPNA

Dipna is a Mumbai based contemporary dance artist, mover and educator. She is trained in Jazz, Ballet and Contemporary. As a movement artist, she’s been working in the space of contemporary dance and dance theatre for the last 6 years. ‘Unselfed’, ‘So Many Socks’, ‘Moonfool’, ‘Conditions of Carriage’ and ‘The Lost Wax Project’ are some projects she has been part of and performed across India and internationally.

Vardhna completed her Masters in Human Development and Childhood Studies from University of Delhi in 2010. Since then she has been working with various organizations in the development network. Her longest stint was with the Aga Khan Development Network where she worked as a Program Coordinator of the Early Childhood Care and Development Program which is part of the larger Urban Renewal Initiative.

Sanyukta is an Applied Theatre practitioner based out of Delhi, India. She primarily works with children and young people through drama to imagine and realise possibilities that are seemingly beyond their realms. She believes that theatre should be made accessible to every child as it develops the ability to do, to think, to feel, and to be. She founded Aagaaz in 2015.

Radhikaa - Collaborators

RADHIKA

Radhika lives, writes and makes films in Pune. An alumnus of the Film and Television Institute of India, she has been making documentaries on social issues, like gender and mental health for the past 8 years and more recently, writes fiction screenplays and stories. Her documentary films on the homeless and mentally ill – ‘Between Lives’ and ‘Lapata Zindagi’ have received much critical acclaim.

Kamakshi and Vishala’s labor of love -The Sound Space – is deeply rooted in their musical childhood. Through this organization, they are paving the way for innovation in traditional Indian music not only in India but also globally. With formal training in Indian music and psychology, the power duo today is changing Lives through The Sound Space.

Shivangi is a Delhi-based visual artist and illustrator. She is co-founder of an independent publishing platform BlueJackal (bluejackal.net) which engages with visual narratives, picture books and comics. In the past she has worked at Eklavya Foundation and The Foundation for Indian Contemporary Art (FICA).

UPASANA

Upasana is an Alumnus of National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad, Upasana, is a visual artist, motion designer and director. As the founder of SWITCH! – a motion design studio she has worked extensively across the intersection of art, business and culture. She has also been a pioneer in the field of Title Design in India and was profiled on ‘Art of the Title’ as the Top 10 women in title design, along with being a finalist in SXSW excellence in title design.

ZAHRA

Zahra is an independent writer, photographer, and educator based in Bombay. After studying photography, art history, and theatre at the Aegean Centre for the Fine Arts, in Paros, Greece, she’s worked and contributed to various publications such as The Conde Nast Traveller India, The National Geographic Traveller India, Time Out India, The Hindu, First Post, Elle, Scroll, and Soup amongst others.
